Since the opening of the Eurotunnel under the Dover Channel in November 1994, the Eurostar has been used to connect London and Paris (3 hours) as well as London and Brussels (2 hours 40 mins), reaching speeds of up to 300 km/h. The Eurostar was developed on the basis of the TGV in cooperation with three countries: France, Belgium and the UK. The “three capital train” consists of 20 cars including the two front cars on both ends. In order to match its successor, the livery of the Eurostar e320 (Class 374) was changed from the conventional white into a bold silver and blue colour scheme.
