The Alpine Glacier Express runs through the European Alps in southwestern Switzerland from Zermatt to St. Moritz over two railroad companies, the Rhaetian Railway and the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn. On a slow 8-hour journey, it has become popular as a panoramic sightseeing train to enjoy the stunning views of the Alps from its windows. In 2019, the “Excellence Class,” an even higher level of first class, was introduced, bringing further changes to the traditional passenger cars.
