Product Description
The Class 800 is a hybrid intercity train designed as part of the UK’s Intercity Express Programme (IEP) to replace aging HST (High-Speed Train) units. On electrified lines, it draws power via a pantograph, while on non-electrified sections, it operates using onboard engines and generator units, allowing for seamless operation across both electrified and non-electrified routes. Manufactured by Hitachi’s Kasado Works in Japan, the Class 800 was developed under the company’s A-Train concept, adapting Japanese rail technology to suit the UK's rail infrastructure and operational needs. This model reproduces the 9-car set of the Class 800/3, which includes characteristics not found in the previous 5-car sets, such as an inner-frame bogie, a simpler roof design for the intermediate cars, and first-class carriages in the middle of the train.

Modeled after the GWR Class 800/3, specifically the 800313 unit.
Accurately recreates the body in corporate moss green, including the doors, roof, upper body overhangs, and end faces.
Replicates the orange pinstripe above the windows—a typical overhead wire warning seen on UK trains.
Includes carefully designed details such as the door switches and the area around the emergency handle at car ends.
Accurately models features like the inner-frame bogies on cars 4 and 6, and the simplified roof layout with no equipment between air conditioners.
Recreates the “GWR” logo on the front and identification markings around the marker lights on the first-class driving car.
The powered car includes traction tires.
Includes two large book-style storage cases, each for 5 cars.
