Product Description
The VT18.16 was an express diesel motor train built for the Deutsche Reichsbahn of the former Democratic Republic of Germany (East Germany) in the 1960s to modernize the fleet of express trains. After a later change of the class designation it was renamed BR175. Since its retirement, several cars of the BR175 have been preserved in various locations in Germany. The non-profit company SVT Görlitz has acquired a 6-car formation and is currently restoring it operational condition. The train will run with its initial livery featuring a blue stripe recreating its early operational condition.
Features
Modeled after the preserved train (SVT Görlitz) headed by VTa 18.16.10. The livery is carefully recreated with black and blue stripes on the lower part of the cars.
Distinctive details, such as the streamlined shape of the front car and the four round windows in a row, have been replicated.
All of the display signs have been pre-printed.
Comes in special edition sleeve packaging.
