Introducing the new Pocket Line Series Tram in the livery of the Hiroshima Electric Railway Type 3500!
The Hiroshima Electric Railway Type 3500 is a three-section articulated tram developed by the Japan Railway Engineers’ Association as a test vehicle for a new generation of streetcars known as “lightweight trains.” It incorporated cutting-edge technologies of its time, including chopper control, regenerative braking, and a dual-hand controller, and had a significant influence on the subsequent development of the Type 800 and Type 3700.

As a three-section articulated train operating through services from Hiroshima Station to Miyajimaguchi via the Miyajima Line, it was given the nickname “Green Liner.”
