Product Description
The “Allegra” is a unique low-floor train that, despite being an electric multiple unit, boasts locomotive-level power output. It is capable of hauling passenger cars and is equipped with five types of braking systems to handle steep gradients such as the 70‰ (7%) incline on the Bernina Line. It’s a highly versatile and high-performance train, capable of running at 100 km/h on main lines and even operating on street-level tracks. The Allegra serves across various lines of the Rhaetian Railway and is an ideal model for those who wish to enjoy Swiss railway scenery alongside the Glacier Express.
Features
Models No. 3506, including the unique nickname “Anna von Planta” printed on the lead car's side — a detail not seen in previous releases.
Accurately modeled in N gauge (1:150 scale) to represent the meter-gauge (1m track width) narrow-gauge railway. Designed to navigate tight curves, it is compatible with Unitrack Compact R150 curves.
A dual-voltage EMU capable of operating under 11kV 16 2/3Hz AC on the main line and 1000V DC on the Bernina Line. The pantographs and other roof equipment specific to its dual-power design are authentically reproduced.
Captures the light and agile body design of the real vehicle.
Printed details include the front emblem and various car body markings. The front destination display reads “IR Chur”.
Three-point headlights illuminate; tail lights reproduce the asymmetric single white headlight on the right side when pulling passenger cars, just like the real train.
Jumper cables on the front are modeled as separately attached parts for added realism.
Includes 2 short couplers for front-end coupling and 2 short couplers for Glacier Express passenger cars, enabling Allegra to haul Glacier Express coaches when swapped.
