Product Description
The TGV Réseau Duplex is a high-speed train operated by SNCF (French National Railways) which operates across major cities across France. The Réseau Duplex is a hybrid formation that pairs locomotives from the TGV Réseau—freed up through the conversion of former passenger cars—with newly built Duplex double-decker passenger cars. The name “Réseau” is French for “network,” reflecting the train’s role as a standard unit operating across a wide-reaching system of new high-speed lines, conventional tracks, and even international routes. A total of 19 trainsets entered service starting in 2007. Today, these trains operate on the Southeast and Mediterranean lines, running between Paris Gare de Lyon and Marseille, often in combination with standard Réseau trainsets in 20-car formations. This model is based on set number 606, a dual-voltage unit used for international services and features the blue belt and logo designed by Christian Lacroix. It’s ideal for pairing with other TGV series models or European high-speed trains. You can even recreate full 20-car double train formations just like those in actual service.
Features
The prototype is a dual-voltage compatible train set from formations 601–612 and 616–619. Set number 606 has been selected.
Accurately reproduces features different from the "Réseau" formation, such as the presence or absence of gradient patterns on the locomotive's body sides and the locomotive number display under the formation number.
Reproduces the differing body cross-sections at the connection points between locomotives and passenger cars.
By removing the front coupler covers and installing the included drawbars, you can recreate the full 20-car train formation as seen in real life.
Includes a dummy board which can be installed to turn off the lights.
*Includes 6-pin decoder sockets in the M1 and M2 cars. (Note: To ensure correct directional lighting control, the CV29 value on the M2 car’s decoder must be adjusted accordingly.)
